SUN Receives “Bridge from Sado to the World” Award

SUN Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Shumpei Nakasone; hereinafter referred to as “SUN”) has received the “Bridge from Sado to the World Award” at the Island Oshigoto Grand Prix, an initiative organized by Sado City.

The award ceremony was held on Friday, December 26, 2025, at Sado City Hall, with many stakeholders from both within and outside Sado City in attendance.
SUN understands this award as recognition of its ongoing efforts to share the appeal and value of Sado with audiences in Japan and abroad, as well as its initiatives to build businesses in collaboration with local companies.

■ About the Island Oshigoto Grand Prix
The Island Oshigoto Grand Prix (“Oshigoto” is a coined term combining oshi—something one is passionate about—and shigoto, meaning work) is a new initiative launched by Sado City to showcase the appeal of local industries, businesses, and working professionals on the island. By highlighting the diversity and attractiveness of work in Sado, the program aims to communicate the value and potential of working locally, while also sharing the pride, skills, and passion of people who support the island’s industries.
