Mainstreaming Generative AI: Practical Use Cases— Insights from a Talk on AI in the Workplace and the Future of Talent —

On December 17, 2025, Shumpei Nakasone, President & CEO of SUN Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter referred to as “SUN”), took the stage at the Specialized Training College Research Conference organized by the Tokyo Association of Specialized Training Colleges and Miscellaneous Schools.

At SUN, generative AI is actively utilized in areas such as operational efficiency improvement, digital transformation (DX), and human resource development. In this talk, titled “Generative AI in Society: Use Cases,” Nakasone shared practical examples of how generative AI is being used in real corporate settings, along with insights into the skills and talent required in the era of generative AI.

The session was held as part of a themed training program focused on “Changes in Social Structures Brought About by Generative AI,” with the aim of deepening participants’ understanding of the impact of generative AI on society, education, and corporate activities. Faculty and staff members from specialized training colleges and miscellaneous schools attended the event.

On the day, two speakers, including Nakasone, took the stage. In his presentation, he discussed the technical characteristics of generative AI, key considerations for its effective adoption in corporate environments, approaches to promoting digital transformation (DX), and the evolving talent profiles companies will seek in the generative AI era.
