Japanese Offshore Development Service exhibited in Germany. IT Human Resource Shortage in Europe turn into an Opportunity to Expand Japanese IT Services Overseas.

SUN (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Shumpei Nakasone) participated in the Digital Demo Day 2023(DDD23) exhibition held in Düsseldorf, Germany, on Thursday, August 17, 2023, to promote its “Japan Offshore Development Services” to companies in the EU.

In the “Employment and Social Developments in Europe report 2023” published by the European Commission in July 2023, it is reported that there is a significant shortage of human resources in the ICT and STEM fields in Europe. Against this background, SUN exhibited its “Offshore Development Service” for outsourcing system development to Japan at the DDD23. SUN has started to explore the EU market for the future Japanese IT industry. On the day of the exhibition, SUN had business meetings with companies from Germany, the Netherlands, and the U.S., as well as with German municipalities and Japanese companies.

With support from JETRO Dusseldorf and many others, we succeeded in our first exhibition in Germany. I would like to thank them for their generous support.
Through the exhibition, we could fully promote the advantages of Japan’s offshore development services to companies in Germany and its surrounding countries.
I believe that the conditions of “trust” for European companies to look for in a business partner are “quality” and “flexibility”. The quality of Japanese hardware is well known to the world, and in this sense, we recognized the potential of the “Japanese brand”. We would like to continue to explore opportunities for the Japanese IT industry to be active on the world stage.
