Inspiring High Schoolers for the AI Era: SUN CEO Speaks at Sado Comprehensive High School

On July 4, 2025, Nakasone, President & CEO of SUN Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo),  gave a career seminar for 103 first-year students at Sado Comprehensive High School in Sado City, Niigata Prefecture.

Under the theme “Who Decides What’s ‘Normal’? The Future Starts by Questioning It,” Nakasone, drawing on his experience as an IT company leader and his diverse international background, spoke about the differences in what’s considered “normal” in Japan and abroad, and the importance of flexible thinking in a rapidly changing world.

The session included interactive quizzes, engaging stories from New York, and hands-on activities with generative AI like ChatGPT, giving students a chance to experience the technology firsthand.

Students shared feedback such as “I’m more interested in AI now” and “It was fascinating to see answers only AI could give,” showing their growing curiosity about AI.

SUN will continue creating opportunities for young people to explore IT careers and develop a global perspective.
